Community Chair Yoga - Braintree
(Over 50's)

At The Inclusive Yoga Project, we truly believe that yoga is for every‘body’, regardless of age or ability.

Our 12-week community chair yoga class for people over 50, funded by Braintree Council, is all about creating a space where you can move, breathe and relax in a way that feels good for you. We use the support of a chair to make yoga more accessible and gentler, helping you stretch, build strength and improve balance.

Held at Braintree Town Hall, this class isn’t just about yoga, it’s about creating a community where people feel supported, connected and at ease. It’s been so beautiful to see how this practice is helping people feel stronger, more relaxed and more connected to their bodies.

Already, we’ve had some really wonderful feedback. Participants have shared:

"I’ve only been coming for a few weeks, but I can already feel the difference. I couldn’t get my leg up on my knee to change my shoes before, and now I can"
— Joan

"This class is just lovely. I always leave feeling so relaxed and peaceful. I didn’t think I could do yoga, but now I’m really enjoying it."
— Christine

We’re so grateful for the positive energy and enthusiasm everyone’s brought to this class. As we continue this 12-week programme, we’re excited to keep offering more of these sessions in the future.

If you’d like to stay in the loop for future classes or events, we’d love to have you on our mailing list! You’ll be the first to hear about new sessions and other ways to get involved.

Yoga is about feeling good, inside and out.
At The Inclusive Yoga Project, we’re dedicated to bringing yoga to the places where it’s needed most, with the generous support of Braintree Council.

Stay connected with us, and let’s keep moving, breathing, and growing together.
